"Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become character.
Watch your character, they become your destiny."
~Frank Outlaw~
The above quotation has a lot of food for thought.
I think that all of us have heard the saying that
children learn what they live with....
I remember as a child how much words spoken to me
by anyone, did as much damage as a dreaded spanking;
I also remember as a child that words spoken to me by
anyone with love and acceptance, made me feel like I
was the queen of the day.
As an adult, words can be spoken in haste and can turn a child's day into a
beautiful rainbow or into a dreadful storm cloud. We can teach ourselves
to be very careful with the tone of voice we also use when speaking
to not only children, but to all our loved ones.
The same words spoken with a soft voice and a smile on our face
will be accepted and listened to much more quickly than with a frown
on our face and a loud and screeching voice.
Just for today, I am going to read the first sentence
over and over again and then jump down to the last
line of that quote and see if my words do lead me
to my destiny. Wonder where that destiny will lead me?
