We all are aware that Kareena Kapoor is acting in the remake of the Malayalam hit Bodyguard, which has Salman Khan as her hero. Siddique is the director of the film, jointly produced by Atul Agnihotri and Alvira Agnihotri. We hear that she has a whole new look for her character. Ace designer Manish Malhotra is designing her costumes for the film. Kareena will be wearing Pakistani Kurtas and traditional jewellery and will be seen in the role of a college-going girl.
Shooting of the film is currently in progress in Pune. However, Kareena suddenly fell sick and shooting had to be cancelled. The doctors advised her bedrest and she had to rush back home. The film was supposed to hit the marquee on August 31st, but now the producers may have to revise their plans.
It seems Bollywood is flat over remaking hit movies of South, possibly for a spell. The Malayalam flick 'Bodyguard' is subject to remake in Hindi in which Salman Khan is proposed to play the lead. He is currently playing the lead in the remakes of 'Ready' and 'Kick'. On lines with the scheme he is eager to do the film 'Bodyguard'. Kareena Kapoor is playing opposite to Salman Khan in the film. Initially, Katrina Kaif was selected for the role but, due to unavailability of her call sheets Kareena Kapoor was approached. The film would be titled 'My Love Story' in the remake. Siddique would direct the film and the shooting would commence in December.
