AEE Smallest Digital Video Camera with Specifications

Tuesday, October 13, 2009

AEE Wireless claims that its new “Mini DV” ultraportable camera is the “world’s smallest” video camera. Now, that’s a load of hooey if we ever were good at identifying hooey (and, we’ll dare to say, we were and are – and equally as excellent at categorizing nonsense, hogwash and bologna sandwiches). However, the camera does look pretty excellent, and promises to clip onto less-than-predictable places for less-than-predictable camming situations.

This is probably one of those gadgets that you’ll want to get your mitts on right away, lock up in the pantry for a couple of months, and bust out just before you go on your epic, mind-bending cross country journey of discovery. It’ll serve as an excellent, non encumbering sidekick for documenting your voyage of ego-smashing self discovery. The camera has a good control set, a modest but efficient internal lithium-ion battery, a microSD card slot, and a trusty, field-tested USB connection. The camera promises to pump out 640 x 480 (VGA) video at 30 frames per second, and can double as a two megapixel camera.
